Baby It's Cold Outside 2

Well after a wickedly cold and snowy start to the winter here in the northeast, we finally got a bit of a break. The week of February 13 finally saw the snowstorms stop and the temps rise above freezing. We actually had the thermometer hit 60° by Thursday and Friday. Yes it melted some of the snow. But, with 2 to 3 feet of snow still on the ground since the Christmas storm, it's going to take more than that to rid us of all this ugly, dirty snow. (We've had 7 feet of snowfall here in CT from between Christmas and mid-February).

However, just when you (we) thought we might see a bit of an extended (if you will) warm-up. wrong again. The wind blew here all weekend with gusts as high as 60 mph. And now a new snowstorm is crossing PA as we speak and headed for our front yard here in CT yet again. By Tuesday morning, we could be back to 10° below zero once again. This isn't fun kids. I didn't like winter when I was a youngster and I hate it even more now. But, hopefully Spring is not far off. I keep thinking, trying to convince myself that the worst of winter is behind us. Time will tell.
